Each individuals safety is our top priority. Whether it’s in an exercise class or at home, we work to provide you the skills, knowledge and strength to keep you at your best anywhere you may be.

Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative movement disorder that can cause deterioration of motor skills, balance, speech, and sensory function. It is estimated there are more than 1 million people in the United States diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and more than 60,000 people are diagnosed each year.

Parkinson's Symptoms

Motor Symptoms

  • Involuntary trembling/tremor
  • Slowness of movement (bradykinesia) and difficulty initiating movement
  • Postural and gait changes
  • Erratic muscle movements (dyskinesia)

Non-Motor Symptoms

  • Physical symptoms, such as vision problems and digestive disorders
  • “Parkinson’s Pain,” including neuropathy
  • Restless leg syndrome
  • Cognitive changes, including Parkinson’s dementia
  • Psychiatric issues, such as hallucinations or delusions
  • Emotional symptoms, including depression, anxiety

Neuro Yoga!

National Parkinson’s Institute is teaming up with Megan Coghlan to offer Neuro Yoga classes every other Wednesday.

Classes are from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM starting August 3rd.
